City of Newton utility crews have been hard at work this week cleaning out and repairing clogged storm drains around the perimeter of Bullough's Pond.

Storm drains alleviate street flooding, but also provide a pathway for silt and pollutants to enter the pond.  Some of the storm drains near the pond date back to the 1920s.
