BPA President Marilyn Campbell led BPA members and other volunteers in a massive clean up effort around Bullough’s Pond on Newton Serves Day, April 28.
| Several dozen people turned out with rakes, pruners and loppers in hand to remove dead leaves, broken branches, tangled invasive vines, and lots of trash from the pond and its banks. |

After some four hours of backbreaking work, the north and east banks of the pond looked clean and welcoming. The clean up brigade filled more than 60 bags of yard waste and piled up lots of broken branches for collection by the city’s crews.
