The Bullough's Pond Association Scholarship

The Bullough’s Pond Association sponsors scholarships worth $1000 each, to be awarded to up to two high school seniors who live, or attend high school, in Newton, Massachusetts. The scholarship was first proposed by then-BPA board member and former NNHS Principal Jennifer Huntington.

Newton high school seniors who have records of academic study in environmental issues, and demonstrated community service on behalf of the environment generally, and Bullough's Pond in particular, are eligible to apply.

Requirement: Applicants must submit a short (250 words) essay outlining their interest in environmental issues; their notable academic work in environmental or other relevant areas of science;
their future academic/career plans in this field; their volunteer work with any organizations promoting conservation or environmental awareness; and their activities on behalf of protecting the environment of and around Bullough's Pond.

Email applications to: [email protected] and [email protected]

Applications are due April 30 each year.
